Material Science Lab

Compare PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU and more across every property.

Pick two materials to compare

PLA
190–220°C

Prototypes, toys, decor. The friendliest filament.

Polycarbonate
270–310°C

Engineering-grade: strong, heat-resistant, tough.

Engineer's read: Polycarbonate is stronger, but PLA is far easier to print. Moisture matters: Polycarbonate must be kept dry or it will pop and string. Match the material to the job, not the other way around.
